Chacón is located in Mora County, New Mexico, on New Mexico State Road 121, about 12 miles north of Mora. La Capilla de San Antonio, which was built in 1865, is located at the southern end of the village.

It is in Cruciform (cross-shaped) plan with a stone foundation, adobe walls, a mud plaster exterior and a pitched corrugated tin roof. (source: Cornerstones)
